Career Objective

Engineering Dept. for Welding/Fabrication for a group of 3 Colleges and 1 University working directly for the Director of Apprenticeships across the group. Transformed the current campus from Grade 3 OFSTED rating (Requires Improvement) to Grade 2 (Good) with specifically the Welding Dept. receiving Grade 1 (Outstanding)

Working alongside TWI (The Welding Institute) and been their point of contact for the group of educational establishments.

·        First point of contact for clients (Employers) to ensure their requirements for apprentices are met. Responsible for the tailored delivery plan of each engineering apprentice coinciding with the company’s requirements to keep all parties mutual.

Specialist Welding Instructor – January 2020 – September 2020

·        Responsible for the safe delivery and production within the engineering workshop located at the maximum-security facility HMP Wakefield

·        Ensuring the workshop is up to stock with materials/H&S requirements to operate safely and securely at all times

·        Dedicating tasks to specific individuals to assure customers requirements are met

·        Creating/Implementing teaching plans to all individuals within the workshop

·        Completing various CPD courses as required by the legal authority

Advanced A Welder – March 2019 – January 2020

·        Coded A Welder completing welds in various positions/materials to the company’s needs

·        Employed to work specifically on the nuclear Sellafield project working on 100% XRAY and visually inspected by LLOYDS REGISTER

·        Developing and implementing the standards of ASME IX

·        Ensuring the day to day Health and Safety standards are upkept in the workshop

·        Attending site visits to ensure the clients requirements are been demonstrated by the quality of work received

·        Coded welder working on various projects that include Shell, BP and ESSO based in the Hull workshop

·        Ensuring all welds are visually inspected and 20% of welds are XRAY by a third-party company
