Personal statement

I am an enthusiastic, committed and loyal employee who is an excellent communicator with good people management skills. I have a natural ability to build and consolidate long term relationships with a diverse range of customers and clients. My forward thinking and creative mind-set, along with my organisational skills and customer care qualities enable me to get the best out of people and opportunities. I always strive for the best possible outcome for the client (whether that be a learner, funder or external business) whilst balancing the needs of the business and its staff.

Worked with employers such as Barclays, Nationwide Building Society and TK Maxx. My main responsibilities included:

· sourcing vacancies then profiling and matching the right customer for the role

· holding assessment centre events and interviewing

· training interventions and quality checking to select the most suitable candidates

· identifying then breaking down barriers to work and providing feedback to improve

Employer Engagement and Business Development Manager

 

Launched Job Introductory Service ‘Create’ and website createjobs.co.uk to provide vacancies to both Skills North East learners and external candidates. This involved actively contacting employers and offering Pre-Employment Training opportunities as well a free recruitment support service which included managing the recruitment journey from initially sourcing the vacancy, advertising the role, matching the candidate then either progressing onto any required training or passing straight to the employer for interview. The organisations I built relationships with include Bluebird and PPH Care, Linden Hall and Close House Hotels, Park Resorts Holiday Parks, Country and Mission Foods and Blue Line Taxis.

 

 

 

 

ESG / Sencia / Interserve November 2009 – December 2012

Employer Engagement and Business Development Manager

 

Delivered Vocational Training and sourced work placement opportunities and vacancies for adult learners on programme. Delivered inductions and managed the client journey whilst sourcing job focused training to progress the client into their desired role and continually monitored and tracked their progress. Supported them through 6 weeks of job search, liaised with tutors and sourced placements which provided employment opportunity upon their successful completion. My main responsibilities for each of these programmes included:

· sourcing vacancies then matching the right customer for the role

· ensuring quality of delivery and output to customers within agreed timescales

· accurately completing all records and paperwork within set timescales

· identifying then breaking down barriers to work

· setting SMART targets and realistic goals for customers and helping them to achieve them by delivering effective sessions and following lesson and delivery plans

· to motivate and inspire all learners throughout their journey

· tackle challenging behaviour appropriately and successfully

 

I also directly liaised with Job Centre Plus in supporting recently redundant individuals in achieving their training goals. I completed a Skills Transfer Analysis then sourced the recommended training under Rapid Response to Redundancy.
