Who we are

Education Partnership North East is a dynamic and place-focused provider that materially contributes to regional socio-economic progress. We deliver across all types of provision, including technical education, apprenticeships, sixth form, higher education and adult skills. Our reach spans from Berwick-upon-Tweed to the Tees Valley with specialist delivery centres including SEND, Animal and Land, Construction Skills, Technical and Academic.

As a leading academic, technical, further and higher education provider, our work extends beyond the delivery of qualifications and skills to the local community and socio-economic generation. We are proud to be rated Outstanding across all areas in our latest Ofsted inspection (2024), marking a significant milestone in our remarkable journey.

Our Purpose is to “unlock potential, create opportunities and transform lives through outstanding education, skills and training”. Our Purpose is our North Star: it is what we do every day. Rooted in our power as changemakers, it communicates our work in tackling inequalities, removing barriers and improving the life chances of the people and communities we serve.

About the role

As our new Campus Principal of Hartlepool Sixth Form, you will play a pivotal role as part of our senior leadership team, driving growth, excellence, and reputation across the college group while ensuring students and staff receive the best possible experience. An innovative, passionate, and creative leader, you will embed a culture of excellence in teaching, learning, safeguarding, and student support, ensuring facilities and services remain sector-leading. With a relentless focus on quality, you will deliver outstanding teaching and learning, address underperformance, and support vulnerable students to achieve parity with their peers, while strengthening employer forums, advisory boards, and community engagement to keep curriculum design industry-informed and future-focused.

The role also requires strong financial acumen to deliver robust performance through effective budget management, lead campus developments, and expand provision through outreach and curriculum diversification. Beyond operational leadership, the individual will play a strategic role within the leadership team, using your key skills, knowledge and understanding to contribute more broadly to our place-based strategy, shaped around local needs.

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced, values-led leader with a proven track record in curriculum development and quality improvement, bringing strong experience of leadership within an FE college or sixth form setting with oversight of A Levels. You will also hold strategic responsibilities across the Group shaped by your skills and experience, working closely with the CEO, Deputy CEO, and senior colleagues to deliver our place-based strategy and drive future success. You will bring expertise in curriculum planning, data interpretation, and raising the quality of provision, while building and sustaining strong relationships with diverse stakeholders to transform our offer and enhance our reputation.

With a deep understanding of the local area you will ensure our provision meets community demand while contributing to the distinct identity of Hartlepool Sixth Form within the wider group. Above all, you will be someone who is outgoing, creative, authentic, respectful, innovative and ambitious, sharing our passion for high-quality education, our ethos, and our drive to achieve even greater impact.

Peridot Partners and Education Partnership North East are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and our client expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references before any final offer can be made.
