The Opportunity
You will play an important role in delivering high-quality education to T Level apprentices and full-time learners. You will design and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons that equip learners with the skills they need for a successful career in the construction industry. Working from our state-of-the-art CUBE centre, you will cover all aspects of the T Level study programmes and apprenticeship standards, from basic joints and first- and second-fix work to traditional roof construction.
You will join an established team of teaching professionals, contributing to curriculum development and introducing new methods of teaching to enhance learner experience. You will create schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials that support both your own delivery and that of other staff within the department. By fostering positive relationships with learners, you will encourage engagement, retention, and achievement, supporting each individual to reach their full potential.
Your role will also involve assessing learners’ work, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring that all work meets industry standards. You will offer both academic and pastoral support, guiding and challenging learners to develop their practical skills and theoretical understanding. Whether you are already in education or transitioning from industry, your expertise, communication skills, and hands-on approach will be instrumental in developing the next generation of carpentry and joinery professionals.
This is a great opportunity to make a direct impact on the next generation of carpentry and joinery professionals while working in a modern, well-equipped learning environment. You’ll have the chance to bring your industry experience into the classroom, shaping practical and theory lessons that prepare learners for real-world careers.
