Hours: 36 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term-Time Only)

Multiple posts available. 

Primary Location: Staff may be required to work across any of our college sites, with a usual base at one of the campuses (Barnet, Colindale, or Southgate)

Barnet and Southgate College is seeking a dynamic, resourceful, and empathetic individual to join us as an Education Support Specialist. This role is vital to ensuring students thrive in their learning experience, achieve their ambitions, and feel included within the college community. 

What You’ll Do 

– Facilitate Learning: Deliver planned learning activities and provide in-class cover using pre-set tutorials and independent resources while encouraging students to be independent learners. 

– Support Students: Promote positive attitudes to learning and support student welfare, inclusion, and personal growth in preparation for adulthood and progression. 

– Collaborate: Work closely with curriculum staff to deliver initiatives and maintain a productive classroom environment. 

– Act as a Role Model: Inspire students by demonstrating professionalism, resilience, and dedication to their success. 

What We’re Looking For 

– An individual passionate about education and fostering an inclusive learning environment. 

– Someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, capable of managing classroom dynamics effectively. 

– Experience working with young people and supporting their personal development is a plus. 

– A registered first aider or willingness to undergo training for this role.
