About the role

We are now seeking an exceptional Group Director of Marketing, Communications and External Engagement to shape the way we tell our story, strengthen our reputation, and deepen our impact. In this role, you will set strategy and inspire a small and talented team to deliver creative, innovative, and data-led campaigns that drive student recruitment, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement. You will champion our brand across every channel, ensuring our vision and values are reflected in the way we connect with learners, staff, stakeholders and the communities which we serve.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an inspiring, strategic, and collaborative leader who can bring creativity, vision, and impact to the role as custodian of the London & South East Education Group’s brand, passionate about education and its power to transform lives.

You will be an exceptional communicator and influencer, able to translate ambitions, strategies, and outcomes into compelling messaging and meaningful engagement with diverse audiences, drawing on a broad and diverse career history, even if not from a school or college environment.

As a senior leader, you will balance commercial and social focus, be enterprising, realise value for money, and communicate the social good we deliver. You will also manage budgets, lead and support marcomms teams, and deliver successful marketing and promotional activities across events and digital platforms.

Your expertise and vision will ensure our Group’s story is told with clarity, authenticity, and ambition — inspiring learners, staff, and communities across London and the South East.
