Overview
Reaseheath College is offering a unique opportunity for a passionate and experienced professional to take on a dual role that combines the responsibilities of both the Advanced Inclusive Learning Practitioner (AILP) and the Inclusive Learning Practitioner (ILP), offering a varied and rewarding role for someone who thrives on challenge, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
About the role
As this is a dual role, the position will be split between 17.5 hours AILP and 17.5 hours ILP.
In the role, you will lead and deliver high-quality learning support interventions, mentor colleagues, and work directly with students to help them access the curriculum and develop independent learning skills. You will oversee a caseload, contribute to EHCP reviews, and collaborate with curriculum teams to embed inclusive practices across the College.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored 1:1 and small group interventions
- Monitor student progress and evaluate impact against EHCP targets
- Promote independent learning through assistive technology and study skills development
- Collaborate with curriculum staff to implement dynamic support strategies
- Contribute to the development of inclusive learning resources
- Maintain accurate records and produce high-quality reports
The successful candidate will have:
- Level 4 qualification (or willingness to train)
- Experience supporting students with SEND, including complex needs
- Strong mentoring, planning, and organisational skills
- Ability to evaluate and report on the impact of interventions
- A flexible, reflective, and student-centred approach

Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment.
