Role: EHCP Coordinator
Location: Tresham College – Kettering, Corby AND Wellingborough Campuses
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £29,870 and £39,696 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time
About the role:
We are currently seeking two EHCP Coordinators to join our Foundation Learning & Additional Learning Support department at The Bedford College Group.
As an EHCP Coordinator, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Student Support & Progress Monitoring – Lead annual and termly reviews, mentor students, and ensure EHCP outcomes are met through close collaboration with curriculum teams.
- Transition & Progression Planning – Support students’ transition into college and progression beyond, using a person-centred approach to prepare them for participation in reviews and future opportunities
- Curriculum Collaboration & Training – Liaise with teaching staff to raise awareness of EHCP needs, deliver training, and ensure support strategies are effectively implemented and reviewed.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance – Prepare statutory reports, contribute to performance monitoring and self-assessment, and ensure all documentation meets local authority and college standards.
- Safeguarding & Professional Development – Uphold safeguarding, equality, and health & safety responsibilities, while engaging in ongoing training and maintaining professional boundaries.
About you:
- Qualifications & Education – A Levels or equivalent, GCSEs in English and Maths (A–C), and graduate or vocational training in Education, Health, or Social Sciences.
- SEND Knowledge & Experience – Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCP processes, and experience supporting young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Professional Skills & Communication – Skilled in report writing, IT systems, and Microsoft Office; able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.
- Personal Attributes & Values – Organised, adaptable, and committed to College values (Student Focus, High Performance, Respect, Openness, Honesty), with a focus on inclusion and safeguarding.
- Flexibility & Development – Willing to travel across sites, work flexible hours, and continuously update skills and knowledge while maintaining professional boundaries and high performance.
