The Opportunity
Barnsley College is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Electrical Installation Lecturer to join our STEM department. This is an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire learners across Level 1 to Level 3 courses, contributing to curriculum development and student success.

You will deliver high-quality teaching in both workshop and classroom settings, support curriculum planning, and develop innovative learning materials. You will also assess student work, provide feedback, and support learners academically and pastorally to help them achieve their full potential.

As part of the role, you will contribute to student recruitment, attend promotional events, and work closely with the Course Leader and other staff to ensure an effective and engaging curriculum.

About You
You are an experienced educator with a strong background in electrical principles and current legislation. You have a passion for teaching and a commitment to student success. You are confident in delivering contextualised learning that meets awarding body requirements.

You bring excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a dedication to continuous professional development. Experience in teaching Electrical Installation to both 16–18 and adult learners is essential.

Required

·         Relevant qualification in Electrical Installation

·         Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one

·         Experience delivering Electrical Installation courses at Level 1, 2, and 3

·         Strong knowledge of electrical principles and current legislation
