An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Department to lead the curriculum teams of Construction and Service Industries reporting to our Vice Principal Curriculum. The successfully candidate will have a proven track record in curriculum leadership, and their expertise will be instrumental in driving innovation, high academic standards specifically in teaching and learning, and fostering an environment of growth and excellence within the department.

 

As a Head of Department with Redcar and Cleveland College you will be responsible for the areas of Sport, Public Services, Hair and Beauty and Construction Trades. Funding streams within the areas include study programmes, adult and higher education provision. You will work with the Head of Department Apprenticeships in ensuring that all students have the best possible student experience and fulfil their ambitions. You will lead two Curriculum Managers, one leading on Service Industries and the other Construction. Through the Curriculum Managers you will lead on supporting curriculum staff in being exceptional in teaching and learning and a budget holder for the area.

Schedule

·         Monday-Friday

·         Flexible lunch breaks

·         Some evenings and weekends to support the College Curriculum operations.
