In the role of Community Learning Lecturer, you’ll work from our main centres in Dewsbury and Huddersfield but will also work in a variety of settings across Kirklees such as community centres, libraries, schools and more. You will be required to plan and deliver core subjects to adults, which could include IT, English and Maths, ESOL, Employability and Family Learning. You need to be enthusiastic and inspirational and able to help our adult students meet their potential by creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting students and ensuring that quality improvement strategies are implemented and complied with, along with ensuring the courses meet the needs of all of our stakeholders.
If you are passionate about your subject area and can engage and inspire adults by bringing learning to life with enthusiasm, then we would love to hear from you.
You’ll ideally have a L5 teaching qualification, experience teaching ESOL and demonstrable experience teaching adults. It’s important that you’re able to lead and inspire others, communicate effectively, use innovation within course delivery and engage with young people and adults. You will be expected to demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
