Currently £22,409 to £23,948 per annum based on working hours.

(36.25 hours, college term time only, plus 10 additional days)

Are you super organised and thrive under pressure? Are you great at working with people and making things run like clockwork? Do you take pride in making sure every detail is just right?

If you have answered YES to these questions, then we want to hear from you!

At Blackpool Sixth Form College, a first-class provider of 16–19 education, we’re on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-driven Examinations Officer to help us deliver an exceptional exams experience for our students.

You’ll be right at the heart of all things exams, playing a vital role in ensuring our learners achieve the qualifications they’ve worked so hard for. No two days are the same, and you’ll collaborate with a fantastic mix of students, staff, and awarding bodies.

With qualifications and assessment methods evolving rapidly, there’s never been a more exciting time to join our future-focused team. We’re embracing new ways of working and looking for someone who’s curious, adaptable, and ready to make a real impact.

Have experience in exams? Fantastic! If not, no worries, we’ll provide full training to help you succeed and grow in the role.

For the right candidate, there’s also the potential to step into a Lead Examinations Officer role, a fantastic opportunity to take on extra responsibility, help shape our exams service, and play an even bigger part in our students’ success.

A day in your new role could see you:

  • Working closely with everyone; from students and staff to parents/carers and awarding bodies
  • Making sure the exams process runs smoothly and efficiently; all whilst delivering a high-quality examinations service across the college
  • Getting all the behind-the-scenes details right; from registering qualifications to making sure every student’s exam entry is good to go
  • Running the show on exam days; setting up papers, keeping things calm as students arrive, supporting invigilators, and getting scripts safely sent off
  • Keeping everything on track as coursework comes in; checking it off, coordinating with curriculum teams, and making sure it all gets safely to the awarding bodies

If you are ready to be at the heart of student success, apply today and be part of the magic at Blackpool Sixth!
