Job Details

We are an independent charitable Foundation founded in 1990, closely connected to Santander UK. After a recent strategy review, we have a renewed focus and ambition. Our new mission is to support young people, primarily aged 16-19, in the Further Education system. This is an underfunded area, and there is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in creating change for some of the most disadvantaged young people in the UK.

We are looking for 2-3 new independent trustees to help equip our board for the Foundation’s new direction, and if you support our mission, have relevant experience to contribute, and share our ambition to become a best-in-class corporate foundation, we would love to hear from you!

We are committed to inclusive governance and welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds. We would like the board to reflect the diversity of the UK and the communities we aim to serve. We especially welcome applications from people:

  • With lived experience of the Further Education system
  • From minoritised or racialised communities
  • With disabilities
  • From outside London and the Southeast
  • Under 40

We will offer mentoring and induction support to ensure new trustees feel confident and equipped in their role. Trustee roles are not remunerated, but expenses are paid.

The closing date for applications is 3rd October. For more details and a full role description, please see the attachment.

Thank you!
