In the role of work experience officer, you’ll predominantly be based at Waterfront and your focus will be on Proactively generating new business leads through targeted telesales activity, networking and effectively managing new and existing relationships with employers. You will secure and maintain a wide range of placement and work experience opportunities relevant to specific curriculum areas in line with work experience plans, which meet student’s individual learning needs and the requirements of their programme of study.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Maintain accurate and up to date employer records on the college’s CRM and Navigate systems.
Record all potential opportunities and employer related activity to proactively maximise opportunities and support effective relationship management, enabling accurate activity, opportunity, and outcome reporting.
Supporting curriculum by securing work experience opportunities and completing External Speaker risk assessments prior to forwarding prospects to the Personal Development Tutor.
Deliver a high-quality customer service and strive towards a continuous improvement in standards, through gaining a wider knowledge of the department and curriculum requirements, and being progressive and solution focused.

Ideally, you’ll have demonstrable experience in a proven track record of sales and engaging with businesses to develop meaningful working relationships. Experience of utilising a range of sales techniques including cold calling and targeting of customers to generate opportunities and achieve set targets.
