We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales/Marketing Assistant to join our friendly and fast-paced team. Waterside Training is a leading provider of specialist technical training and apprenticeships based in St Helens.  Working closely with the Technical Sales Executive and Apprenticeship Manager, you will help drive business growth by promoting our Commercial Training and Apprenticeship’s to grow and attract new clients and promote new products.

This is a hands-on, varied role where flexibility and creativity is key. You’ll support our sales and business development activities, help generate leads, manage enquiries, and play a key role in our marketing efforts, from social media to events and campaigns.

Role and Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Assist in lead generation and prospect outreach
  • Create lead generation content for social media platforms
  • Manage and shape the development of the CRM system
  • Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, and social media
  • Help schedule and coordinate client calls, meetings, and events
  • Maintain strong client relationships and encourage repeat business
  • Support invoicing, debt management, and pipeline tracking
  • Create weekly reports and assist in reaching team sales targets

Marketing & Campaign Support

  • Contribute creative ideas and content for digital platforms, email campaigns, and printed materials
  • Turn your hand to creating printed communications and managing website updates
  • Help manage and grow our social media presence, scheduling posts and tracking engagement
  • Collaborate with the team on promotional campaigns and marketing strategy
  • Attend outreach events and open days to promote our brand and connect with potential learners and employers
  • Track marketing performance (e.g. email open rates, social media stats) and compile reports

Customer Care & Feedback

  • Help manage our customer satisfaction activities
  • Collect feedback from all stakeholders through surveys and other channels
  • Support the team in responding to feedback and improving our services

General & Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support across the sales and marketing team
  • Assist with finance and other administration as required
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and commit to continuous professional development
