Are you passionate about supporting adult learners in achieving qualifications that make a real difference in their lives and communities? We are seeking a dedicated Health and Social Care Assessor to join our Adult Skills Online team, delivering high-quality assessment and support across a range of mental health qualifications.
About the Role
As an Assessor, you will play a key role in guiding learners through their qualifications, ensuring they receive the support and feedback needed to succeed. You’ll be responsible for tracking progress, assessing work, and contributing to curriculum development and quality assurance.
Actual Salary: £12,562.5 – £13,190.5 per annum
Working Pattern: 17.75 hours in a week (Monday, Tuesday and a Half day on Wednesday)
Essential Criteria
Hold a relevant subject-related degree or equivalent qualification.
Hold a recognised teaching qualification or be working towards one.
Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English.
Hold an V Unit qualification or equivalent.
Excellent subject knowledge and understanding of relevant curriculum and quality frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Assess learners online across Health and Social Care programmes.
Track learner progress, attendance, and achievement, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping.
Deliver blended learning and tutorials, supporting learners towards successful completion.
Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
Engage in promotional activities such as Open Days and Information Events.
Work collaboratively with programme teams and external stakeholders.
Embed Maths and English into lessons and set SMART targets to support learner progression.
Maintain professional standards and uphold safeguarding, equality, and diversity policies.
