About the role
We are currently looking to appoint a Veterinary Nursing Training Practice Liaison/Assessor to cover staff maternity leave.
We are looking for an exceptional, well organised individual to mentor, guide and assess learners through training practice visits in line with RCVS requirements. You will be expected to work closely with both existing and new training practices to meet the needs of the developing curriculum and changing market.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducts workplace assessments to support learner progress and satisfaction
- Coordinates learner support with programme leaders and placement managers
- Promotes college events and initiatives to external partners
- Delivers varied assessment methods to enhance student success
- Maintain quality standards for work-related qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- Minimum level 3 qualification in veterinary nursing
- Ability to maintain professional registration in the RCVS
- An assessor’s award (A1) or equivalent or willingness to achieve
- Evidence of working with National Occupational Standards
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment.
