Full time (35 hrs/wk), fixed term for 12 months
Based London (Dalston, E8)
Salary range £28,000 to £32,000 pa plus benefits
In May 2025, The London School of Architecture (LSA) merged with University of the Built Environment, a leading specialist university. The LSA has retained its name and distinct identity. For the avoidance of doubt, if you are successful in being appointed to this role, you will be a University employee, working within the LSA.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Studio Coordinator to join the Operations team at the London School of Architecture. Day to day, you will be responsible for the management of the school’s studio and facilities. You will be the first point of contact for all building and facilities-related queries, ensuring the space remains functional and professional for students, staff and visitors.
This is a hands-on role, and you will be integral in providing support for teaching and events, as well as ensuring health and safety protocols.
Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of The LSA studio, ensuring it is clean, safe, secure, and fit for purpose at all times.
- Act as a key holder; be responsible for securing the premises daily and overseeing the relevant security procedures.
- Conduct regular studio checks to ensure a safe and organised environment.
- Provide technical and logistical support during teaching and events, including hybrid sessions and livestreams.
- Provide frontline IT support for students and staff including connecting to the network, password and / 2FA resets, printers, accessing email, VLE, cloud storage and other services provided.
Our main requirements:
- Relevant qualification or training in First Aid and/or Fire Safety, or willingness to under this
- Experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures (including fire safety), however further training can be provided
- Hands-on and proactive, with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset
