Sessional Lecturer – Soft Furnishing

Job Details
South Thames College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced lecturer to teach adult learners across different levels to ensure that they are able to achieve success in their Soft Furnishing course.
You’ll deliver varied and effective teaching and learning sessions in which all members of the group are respected and able to participate and you’ll develop course objectives using effective course and lesson plans designed to monitor learners’ progress.
With substantial relevant professional experience of Soft Furnishing technique, we’d like you to hold a qualification or be able to demonstrate a professional background in the field of Soft Furnishing. You’ll have working knowledge of principles of Soft Furnishing including knowledge of fabrics, sewing technique, pattern making and construction methods.
We’d like you to hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards), be able to identify and implement improvements in existing systems and have evidence of commitment to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. With an excellent level of computer literacy, you’ll be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
