Job Details

Permanent contract, 16 hours per week, 42 weeks per year

To be responsible for providing general kitchen duties and serving of food and beverages, so as to ensure the effective and efficient operation of college catering services.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Work as part of the Catering Team
  •  Work with members of the catering team to ensure good standards of service are met for all clients.
  • Assist in ensuring good customer service for all staff and students
2.    To assist in the kitchens, counters, laundry, and other associated areas:
  • General food preparation and cooking.
  •  Washing up and general cleaning within the department.
  •  Ensure all items are packaged, labelled with the correct allergen and date information.
  • To assist with the hospitality functions throughout the campus.
  • Assist with laundry duties if required.
3.    To assist in Willow & Lime Tree Coffee Shop
  • Set up, serve customers, and clean down tables and counters in Willow and Lime Tree Coffee Shop.
  • Prepare the service area, hot cupboards and other equipment as instructed.
  • Leave outlets clean and tidy ready for the next session.
  • Use tills, credit card machines and handle money.

  • Good level of general secondary education.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Health and Safety, working in a safe manner for yourself and others
  • Demonstrate how you comply to the Food Safety Laws
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of allergens and/or willingness to undertake training
