Interim Deputy Manager for English and Maths

Hours; Full time (37hrs per week, all year round)

Duration; Temporary for up to 18 months

Salary; £41,992 per annum + benefits

Location; Rotherham College, Rotherham (with occasional travel to other college sites)

 

 

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the provision of English and Maths for both Rotherham College learners and Adult part-time learners across the Group as an Interim Deputy Manager for English and Maths. 

 

In this role you will:

●         Operationally lead the Maths & English team at Rotherham College and wider colleagues in respect to Study Programmes across RNN Group;

●         Ensure the Maths & English curriculum is well planned, focused on the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning and supports learners to achieve their qualifications in English and Mathematics; making outstanding progress.

 

You will be…

As an experienced leader from within the Further Education sector who has a strong track record of leadership within English and/or maths and excellence in teaching, you will use your extensive experience of curriculum development through effective planning and monitoring of progress in this role.

 

You will have a good understanding of the Education Inspection Framework, have strong interpersonal skills to be able to work alongside, lead and support a diverse team of specialist across a range of disciplines.

 

You should have a degree or equivalent in English or Maths and hold a minimum of a Level 3 in the other specialism, along with evidence of recent and relevant Continuous Professional Development.

 

Department Info

Leading a team of Skills Coaches, Lecturers and Advanced Teachers, you will report to the Head of Department – English and Maths and be part of the College Management Team.

 

You will work closely with other Deputy Managers within the department.
