Job Details
About the Role
The ALS department provides additional, tailored support to learners with specific learning difficulties to help them maximise their potential and succeed.
We are looking to recruit Computing and Digital Skills Tutors to provide support to learners who have identified specific learning difficulties. The successful applicant(s) will provide regular tutorial support to enable learners to make progress and help them achieve their academic goals. Classes are scheduled across the week, during the da and evening and are onsite and online. The role is term time only across the academic year. Working patterns will be negotiated to suit the availability of successful applicant(s).
We are looking for confident, digitally capable individuals with at least a Level 3 qualification in Computing, Digital Skills, Creative Technologies, or a related subject. You should already be comfortable using tools like Microsoft Teams and OneDrive, and be willing to continue developing your digital confidence to support learners across a wide range of digital and creative technology courses.
You must also hold Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths – wither GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above, or Functional Skills Level 2.
You’ll bring excellent communication and record-keeping skills, a positive and supportive approach, and the ability to adapt to individual leaner needs. You’ll help learners stay motivated, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals. This is also a great opportunity to be part of a creative and inclusive learning community. We especially welcome applications from current or former learners who have completed our Digital or Creative Technology courses and are ready to take the next step – supporting others while building their own skills, confidence, and professional journey.

- a L3 qualification in Computing or Digital Skills.
- excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
- the ability to motivate learners to achieve their targets.
