About the Role

As our Careers and Enterprise Leader, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring our learners and their families receive the unbiased information, advice, and guidance (IAG) they need to navigate complex career pathways and make informed decisions about their future. This isn’t just about traditional career paths; it’s about preparing individuals for the emerging opportunities and challenges. You’ll be instrumental in leading and helping individuals overcome barriers, raise their aspirations, and capitalise on the dynamic labour market.
You’ll lead with enthusiasm and passions in ensuring the RNN Group provides independent careers education and guidance (CEIAG) that equips learners with the skills and knowledge to adapt, innovate, and succeed. This includes driving our unwavering commitment to meeting and exceeding the Gatsby Benchmarks, which are fundamental to delivering world-class careers provision.
You will…
You will have experience with student guidance, working with learners aged 14-16, 16-18, 19+ including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities/Looked After Children/Education Health and Care Plans. You will also have demonstrable experience in developing and implementing successful CEIAG strategies and operational plans in a post 16 setting.
You will hold a degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification in careers guidance (e.g., Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development) OR significant demonstrable professional experience in a similar role. RNN Group will support you to undertake the careers information, advice and guidance qualification level 6. This will support College to meet the Gatsby Benchmarks.
You will ideally have knowledge of qualifications within Further Education and progression route.
Department Info
You will line manage the Careers Advisors across the Group and will foster a culture of continuous improvement and high expectations. You will report into the Senior Leader with responsibility for Careers.
You will work and lead across the Group (Rotherham College, Dearne Valley College and North Notts College) to ensure that curriculum areas are meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks, highlighting areas of good practice and supporting those who require further improvement.
Establishing good working relations to ensure a whole Group approach to successful and meaningful CEIAG for all students.
