Your role in elevating the East Midlands
As Project Support Officer you’ll provide support to the Contracting and Claims Manager in the development and delivery of the Adult Skills Programme for the East Midlands, including the provision of contract management and performance monitoring to ensure expenditures comply with the Department for Education’s funding rules.
You will work closely with the Adult Skills Programmes team to drive collaboration and delivery of the programme, which has a funding value of £60 million.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the development and implementation of project processes of ASF/FCFJ/Skills Bootcamps (or equivalent) funding rules and contract compliance requirements.
- Using Excel skills (creating pivot tables, lookups, large data set management) and experience of CRM/contract management systems for data management, analysis and reporting.
- The development, monitoring and maintenance of accurate, consistent and effective contract management tools to monitor overall contract finance, performance, subcontractors, partner delivery and associated risks.
- Management and monitoring of the performance of learning organisations, including attending meetings with Relationship Managers in relation to management of contracts.
- Development and maintenance of all programme documentation, including risk logs, contract registers, issue logs, project plans, and compliance documentation.
- Undertaking research, fact-finding, and analysis activities in support of the team’s work and support the development of relevant performance indicators and management information systems which can be used to inform strategic bodies.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to learning organisations and internal teams influencing on funding regulations, data requirements, and compliance issues.
Your profile:
- Educated to Level 3 or above, with a good knowledge of administration, governance procedures and systems
- Knowledge and experience in project management support environment, problem-solving, governance, and implementing process improvements.
- Experience of monitoring financial and commercial contracts.
- The ability to work effectively to meet strict deadlines, legally and compliantly with funding rules, with others as a competent team member to achieve project targets.
- Good communication skills, to work collaboratively with others, internally and externally.
- Intermediate knowledge of excel, tracking data, updating timelines, formulas, filters, formatting, pivot tables and pulling together basic reports.
- Competent user of mainstream IT software (Microsoft packages), web-based technology, and social media.
