Doncaster College is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Lecturer in Access to HE Psychology & Criminology to join our Adult Skills team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners on their journey to higher education and future careers in the social sciences.

About the Role

You will deliver high-quality teaching across Access to HE and Level 2 programmes, using inclusive and innovative methods to engage learners. You’ll provide academic and pastoral support, monitor progress, and help students achieve their goals and progress to university or employment.

Actual Salary: £27,454.65 – £34,750.99 per annum

Working Pattern: 30 hours a week (Days to be agreed)

There is a requirement in this role to work at Doncaster and North Lindsey College

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role, you must have:

A relevant degree in Psychology or Criminology.

A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).

Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent).

Subject expertise and relevant industry experience.

Excellent organisation, communication, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons using a range of teaching methods and digital tools.

Monitor student progress, attendance, and behaviour, providing tailored support.

Set high aspirations through SMART targets and provide timely feedback.

Support recruitment and enrolment activities, including open days and events.

Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
