About the role

As Vice Principal – Finance & Resources, you will play a pivotal strategic and operational role within the Senior Leadership Team at Leeds College of Building. Reporting directly to the Principal & Chief Executive, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a broad portfolio of critical corporate services that underpin the College’s success, growth, and compliance.

This is a high-impact role encompassing responsibility for Finance, Human Resources, Estates, Digital Support, Exams, Data & Information Services, Funding Compliance, Marketing, and Data Analysis & Process Improvement. You will ensure that all systems, services, and teams under your leadership are aligned with the College’s values and strategic objectives, supporting excellent learner outcomes and long-term sustainability.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Vice Principal – Finance & Resources. This is a strategic post for a highly experienced professional with a deep understanding of public sector financial leadership and a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams.

You will bring a balance of strategic foresight and operational excellence, with the ability to lead key corporate service areas including finance, estates, digital support, HR, compliance, exams, and data analysis.

As a designated Senior Post Holder, you will be a trusted advisor to the Principal and Corporation, helping to shape long-term financial sustainability and organisational effectiveness.

This is a rare opportunity to play a key leadership role in a unique organisation — the UK’s only specialist college dedicated to the construction and built environment sector — and to help shape its future as we continue to expand our provision, facilities, and impact.
