Location: Tresham College – Wellingborough and Kettering Campuses
Salary/Benefits: Salary is £24,720 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time
About the role:
We are currently seeking an Admissions Adviser to join our Customer Services department at The Bedford College Group.
As an Admissions Adviser, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Admissions Management – Deliver a high-quality admissions service by processing applications, issuing offers, coordinating interviews, and maximising conversion from application to enrolment in line with Group policies.
- Information, Advice & Guidance – Provide accurate, impartial advice on courses and services via phone, email, and in-person, supporting applicants through their journey and ensuring a positive experience.
- Stakeholder Collaboration – Build strong relationships with curriculum teams and support departments, attend meetings, and contribute to events that enhance the student experience and recruitment outcomes.
- Data & Systems Accuracy – Maintain accurate records on CRM and student systems, monitor data quality, and ensure compliance with GDPR and admissions procedures.
- Customer Service & Continuous Improvement – Respond to enquiries professionally, support front-line services, contribute to knowledge sharing, and participate in recruitment events while upholding TBCG values and statutory duties.
About you:
- Education & Qualifications – Holds Level 3 education (e.g., A-Levels), GCSEs in English and Maths (A-C), ongoing professional development, and either possesses or is willing to obtain a Level 4 IAG qualification.
- Experience & Knowledge – Proven background in administration and customer-facing roles, with strong performance history, understanding of GDPR and confidentiality, and experience working with diverse groups
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication, high standard of English grammar, strong interpersonal abilities, and adept at advising customers through various channels.
- Technical & Analytical Abilities – Proficient in IT, quick to learn new systems, capable of data analysis, and skilled in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Professionalism & Flexibility – Highly motivated and professional, able to travel and work flexible hours, committed to safeguarding, equality, and continuous skill development.
