Lecturer – Construction (Bricklaying)

The School of Technical, Construction and Motor Vehicle at Carshalton College is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Bricklaying Lecturer to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment and tutorial support to students to maximise achievement and continuous improvement.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement and learner skills development. You’ll develop, initiate, promote and sustain innovative and quality improvement intervention strategies and create and arrange, coordinate and supervise practical work, events and assessment projects as well as advise students on techniques.
As our Lecturer, we’d like you to hold a teaching qualification (or willing to work towards), have recent teaching experience in Bricklaying in an FE College with experience working in Construction/Bricklaying.
With strong working knowledge of current framework for teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance, you’ll have demonstrable experience of effective employer engagement in curriculum design and delivery. With advanced level of computer literacy and general office software management skills, you’ll be a strong communicator in both group and interpersonal situations, with effective presentation, delivery and time management skills for a variety of audiences
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
