Sessional Facilitators – across a range of courses/workshops

Sutton College is looking for dynamic and engaging Sessional Facilitators to lead a variety of Leisure & Hobbies workshops and courses.
As a Sessional Facilitator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging content for a range of non-funded leisure and hobbies workshops. These can be delivered on-site at Sutton College, online, or at community locations. You will guide and support learners of all abilities, ensuring a high-quality customer experience and contributing to the growth and sustainability of the College’s vibrant offer
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging workshop/course content tailored to customer needs.
- Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrations in an inspiring manner.
- Set high expectations and embed College values and British Values.
- Effectively manage sessions, differentiating to meet diverse learner needs.
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Oversee logistical aspects, including material preparation and equipment.
- Provide specialist advice and support to customers.
- Gather feedback and make adjustments to improve future workshops.
- Contribute to the development of new and exciting courses.
- Support College marketing activities and attend relevant meetings.
What We’re Looking For:
- Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) qualifications in English & Mathematics.
- A recognised qualification in your subject specialism, or in-depth knowledge and substantial experience in the subject area.
Professional Experience:
- Experience delivering workshops/courses to adults in leisure/hobbies programmes.
- Understanding of planning, delivery, and evaluation processes for adult workshops.
- Awareness of different teaching strategies and delivery methods for diverse abilities.
- Experience using online delivery platforms.
- Ability to think creatively to inspire and engage customers.
- Excellent delivery skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Effective communication skills across a wide range of audiences.
- Understanding of administrative processes in a relevant provision.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills (MS Office, Google Suite, management information systems).
- Ability to give and receive information/advice effectively.
