About the Role

As a Maintenance Gas Engineer & Plumber, you’ll provide responsive and planned maintenance across our college sites. From servicing boilers and heating systems to maintaining water systems and supporting statutory compliance, your work will help ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Essential Criteria

To be considered for this role, you must have:

City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade

Gas Safe registration (CCN1) and CODNCO1 qualification

Experience in commercial gas and plumbing maintenance

A full, clean UK driving licence

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systems

Service and repair boilers, heating plant, AHUs, and water systems

Conduct statutory testing (e.g. PAT, fire alarms, fire doors)

Maintain accurate records for compliance and asset management

Support stock management and assist colleagues across trades

Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety regulations
