We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Feltham, working as a Local Education Manager. This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.
As the Education Manager you will be responsible and accountable for the day to day running, management and co-ordination of the service within an establishment, working directly with the prison Governor and education lead. Drive excellence in teaching and learning by co-ordinating effective quality assurance. You will be responsible for strategic, cohesive and sequential working with other services, providers and organisations working within the prison.

Site Information
HMP Feltham operates as both a Young Offender Institution (YOI) and a juvenile prison. It accommodates male offenders who have been remanded in custody or sentenced. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Teaching qualification – minimum Cert Ed or PGCE
- Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Experience of developing, leading and managing a team effectively
- Experience of managing colleagues including the deployment of those colleagues and appropriate delegation of tasks
- Experience of implementing and managing continuous quality assurance and improvement procedures
- Experience of successful partnership working
- Effective Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and enthuse teams
- Organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet challenging deadlines and targets
- Analysing trends and identifying impact on curriculum
- IT skills
- Contract management skills
