Support Young People to Achieve Their Potential

Join our RESET team and play a vital role in supporting students who are experiencing difficulties in learning and are at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training).

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide individual and group support to help students develop resilience, growth mindset, and transition strategies
  • Ensure high attendance by proactively tackling persistent absence and supporting students’ readiness to learn
  • Organise extracurricular activities during lunch and after college, linking learning to student interests
  • Help students manage conflict by teaching them various resolution strategies
  • Monitor student progress and adapt approaches to meet individual needs, maintaining detailed development records
  • Deliver Behaviour Awareness Programmes enabling students to reflect on their learning journey
  • Collaborate with Learning Mentors, Careers, Counselling, and Safeguarding teams for holistic support

What We’re Looking For:

  • Essential: Maths and English GCSE (A-C) or equivalent, good general education
  • Experience in student support or related roles, with awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality issues in education
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with vulnerable students and build professional relationships
  • Willingness to work towards Level 2 Safeguarding and Youth Mental Health First Aid qualification

About The Bedford College Group
