HMP Berwyn are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Business Enterprise trainer to deliver engaging, classroom-based lessons aimed at equipping our learners with essential skills for employment and self-employment.
We have a great opportunity available to join Novus Cambria, our prison education provider at HMP Berwyn, working as a Vocational Trainer in Business. This role is offered on a fixed-term basis for 6 months, working 37 hours per week with an early finish on a Friday. You will have access to on-site parking, staff canteen and an on-site gym.

HMP Prison Berwyn is a Category C prison in Wrexham County Borough, Wales. It accommodates a male population. It is the largest prison in the UK, opened in 2017, and is operated by His Majesty’s Prison Service. The prisons aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe at all times. The prison’s mission is to provide a secure, safe, and rehabilitative environment that encourages positive change and prepares inmates for a successful reintegration into society

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Hold a minimum L3 qualification in relevant subject specific area
- PGCE/Cert Ed
- Hold at least a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
- Hold appropriate assessor qualification
- Have experience in the relevant vocational area
- Experience within a similar role
- Experience of working within the appropriate vocational sector
- Experience of working within a prison, further education or training setting
