We are recruiting for multiple vacancies based at North Lindsey College, ideally looking for specialists within one of the following areas:
– fluid power, hydraulics and maintaining pressurised systems – this vacancy has a focus on green energy and sustainability within the wind industry.
– mechanical maintenance (workshop skills) – practical experience is essential.
An internal support programme ensures a smooth transition from industry to the classroom/practical teaching environments.
Essential Criteria
We’re looking for someone who has:
A Level 3 qualification in Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English
Excellent subject knowledge
Relevant and demonstratable Industry experience
Teaching experience/qualification is desirable – however, some experience in training and mentoring is essential.
The ability to motivate and manage learners in a positive and inclusive environment
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and innovative teaching across a range of Mechanical Engineering programmes
Act as a Lecturer, supporting a caseload of full-time and/or part-time students
Embed Maths, English, and digital skills into lessons to enhance learner outcomes
Develop strong links with industry to enrich the curriculum and support student progression
Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and student recruitment activities
