Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We’re looking for a dedicated EHCP Coordinator to join our Additional Learning Support team and play a vital role in ensuring learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) receive the support they need to thrive.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work collaboratively with students, families, staff, and external agencies to deliver a person-centred approach to EHCP reviews and transitions.
About the Role
As an EHCP Coordinator, you will:
Lead on the consultation and annual review process for learners with EHCPs.
Liaise with young people, parents, and professionals to ensure statutory requirements are met.
Chair EHCP reviews and contribute to the development of inclusive learning environments.
Support transition planning and ensure learners’ voices are central to the process.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to departmental planning and reporting.
Essential Criteria
We’re looking for someone who has:
A relevant Level 4 qualification.
Experience working with learners with a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage a varied workload.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and track learners with EHCPs across the college.
Coordinate and chair EHCP annual reviews.
Liaise with internal staff and external agencies to support learners’ needs.
Ensure compliance with statutory SEND requirements.
Promote a person-centred approach in all EHCP-related processes.
Attend Year 10 and 11 reviews where appropriate.
Contribute to departmental self-assessment and development plans.
Undertake relevant training and continuous professional development.
