Are you passionate about supporting young people who face barriers to learning? Join our dedicated RESET team as a Team Leader and become the key driver of our innovative Transition Strategy.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build meaningful relationships with Post-16 students at risk of disengagement, fostering a supportive environment where they can thrive
  • Lead personalised mentoring through 1:1 and group support, helping students overcome attendance, engagement, and confidence challenges
  • Design social action projects and employer engagement opportunities that motivate students and develop their character
  • Implement trauma-informed approaches to support positive behaviour, self-regulation, and resilience
  • Collaborate with pastoral, SEND, and safeguarding teams to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Track student progress and celebrate successes, setting high expectations while providing encouragement

What We’re Looking For:

  • Essential: Youthwork or teaching qualification (Level 3+), Maths and English GCSE (A-C), experience in teaching/instructing roles
  • Experience providing careers guidance to young people and working with vulnerable students
  • Strong knowledge of equality, diversity, safeguarding, and confidentiality in education
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills
  • Commitment to trauma-informed practice and continuous professional development

About The Bedford College Group

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.

Today, the Group is made up of a family of colleges across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire: Bedford College, Central Bedfordshire College and Tresham College in the towns of Bedford, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough; Shuttleworth College, a specialist land-based college; The Bedford Sixth Form, (the only dedicated sixth form in Bedford); The Corby Sixth Form, (opened in September 2023); and the National College for Motorsport alongside Silverstone race circuit.
