Nottinghamshire County Council through its strategic partner Culture, Learning and Libraries – Inspire delivers a high quality learning offer for adults and young people.
We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed and passionate about the power of adult learning to change lives for those furthest away from learning and employment.
Our delivery model in Nottinghamshire is through our partner Inspire. Our aim is to use the extensive library and leaning centre network to provide an integrated cultural and learning offer in local communities. Inspected by OfSTED in June 2023 we were assessed as a good provider, our aspiration is to be outstanding.
Our Inspire College study programme supports 300 young people who would otherwise be not in education or training. Inspire Adult Learning helps over 6000 leaners each year to access both informal and accredited courses.
With a team of 140 and a budget of £5M, this is a key leadership role for the County Council and Inspire. The post also commissions specialist providers, acts as the OfSTED nominee and reports to the Communities and Place portfolio of the County Council and the Inspire Learning and Skills Committee.
Note – this post at appointment will be seconded to Inspire, where you will be a member of the Inspire Leadership Team.
