Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours/Weeks: 30 hours per week – Mon – Thu 11.00 to 17.00 and Friday 10.30 to 16.30
Contract Type: Fixed Term – Part Time – 6-week contract
About the role:
We are currently seeking an Admissions Assistant to join our Customer Services department at The Bedford College Group.
As an Admissions Assistant, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Admissions Support – Assist with delivering a high-quality, inclusive admissions and enrolment service during the busy summer period.
- Applicant Experience – Provide face-to-face support at enrolment events, ensuring applicants feel welcomed, informed, and supported throughout the process.
- Data & Administration – Help collect, process, and maintain accurate applicant data, supporting pre-enrolment checks and system updates.
- Team Collaboration – Work flexibly across campuses and departments, resolving basic queries and contributing to a smooth onboarding experience.
- Continuous Improvement – Support enhancements to the enrolment process based on feedback, while adhering to safeguarding and College policies.
About you:
- Education & Experience – Holds a good standard of education with GCSEs in English and maths, and has strong administrative and customer-facing experience.
- Professional Skills – Demonstrates excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Communication & Collaboration – Friendly, calm, and professional communicator who works well with diverse groups and builds credibility quickly.
- Technical & Adaptability – Confident with IT systems, quick to learn new processes, and able to represent the organisation professionally at all times.
- Commitment & Safeguarding – Flexible, self-motivated, and committed to safeguarding, with the ability to travel across campuses and maintain appropriate boundaries.
