Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we are looking to recruit a Progress Coach on a full time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £29,343 to £35,783 per annum.

The Progress Coach Role:
The apprenticeship department at Bournemouth and Poole College is very successful, performing in excess of national averages. The Engineering team operates in a buoyant market managing the apprenticeship provision for both high profile organisations and local independents.
You will ensure that The College’s provision of work-based evidence in this area are administered and delivered according to the standards laid down by the awarding bodies and the College.
Key Responsibilities of the Progress Coach:
- To review learners’ progress to include feedback from learners, assessors, employers and tutors and maintain suitable records of reviews.
- To proactively engage with employers of apprentices to identify any emerging issues and to build strong employer relationships.
- To agree a training plan for employers using the apprenticeship standards that complies with relevant funding rules.
- To effectively support the administration of the apprenticeship programme including enrolment, changes of circumstances and completion claims.
- To maintain accurate records and tracking of learners using college systems.
- Ensuring the quality of the apprenticeship programme is maintained to a high standard meeting the awarding organisation, Ofsted, EPA and college standards.
- To support with the delivery of workshops, one to one instruction and/or training sessions relating to knowledge, skills and behaviour development and to support the assessment of learners in the workplace.
- Maintain efficient record keeping and tracking systems using the systems provided and stipulated by the College and report agreed targets in a timely manner against agreed deadlines.
- Provide regular and purposeful reports to employers, apprentices, and the College so that there is a clear plan of action which is time bound for each learner and which allows completion with agreed target dates.
About You:
- Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
- Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years
- Level 2 English and Maths GCSE minimum grade 4/C or equivalent
- Evidence of supervising or managing individuals
- Evidence of up-to-date knowledge and practice in vocational area
- Working knowledge and strong vocational experience of the Engineering industry
