About the role

Reaseheath College is seeking a skilled and committed Lecturer in English to join our English and Maths team for two days per week in a permanent, part-time position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to contribute meaningfully to learner progress.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for teaching GCSE English Language, with the potential to deliver Functional Skills English where required. You’ll plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that support student progress, develop essential skills, and align with our curriculum goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for teaching GCSE English Language, although additional Functional Skills English teaching may be required
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons, utilising technology, and diverse curriculum resources to create dynamic and engaging learning experiences
  • Plan and deliver lessons that align with curriculum goals
  • Assess student learning and progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and effective learning environment

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree or relevant professional qualification
  • Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Recent experience in FE and a strong track record of learner success
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching
