Location: Bedford College – Cauldwell Street Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £23,557 and £25,849 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave (Pro-Rata) plus Bank holidays, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 20 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Part Time
About the role:
We are currently seeking an Apprenticeship Liaison Officer to join our Apprenticeships department at The Bedford College Group.
As an Apprenticeship Liaison Officer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Apprenticeship Enrolment & Compliance – Manage the end-to-end enrolment process for apprentices across multiple sites, ensuring all documentation meets ESFA funding rules and College policies.
- Data Management & Reporting – Maintain accurate records using systems like OneFile and Excel, resolve data discrepancies, and provide reports to support audits and performance tracking.
- Stakeholder Coordination – Liaise with internal teams (e.g. Business Development, Registry, Maths & English) and external stakeholders (e.g. employers, EPAOs) to ensure smooth onboarding and communication.
- Administrative & Event Support – Provide general administrative support, assist with audits, and contribute to wider College events such as open evenings, exams, and employer engagement activities.
- Professional Standards & Adaptability – Demonstrate strong attention to detail, agility in changing environments, and commitment to safeguarding, equality, health and safety, and continuous development.
About you:
- Qualifications & IT Proficiency – Holds 4 GCSEs including English and Maths, with Level 2 qualifications in Business Administration and ICT; highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Administrative Experience – Experienced in working in busy office environments, handling enquiries, data input, report generation, and producing a variety of business documents and communications.
- Organisational & Problem-Solving Skills – Demonstrates strong organisational abilities, can prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and solve problems independently while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Communication & Customer Service – Communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, provides high-quality service, and contributes to a welcoming and supportive environment for students and colleagues.
- Professionalism & Flexibility – Committed to personal development, safeguarding responsibilities, and flexible working across campuses and remotely; eager to learn about apprenticeships and College processes.
