Personal Skills Assistants

Job Details
Calderdale College is looking to recruit a number of enthusiastic individuals, working in our Inclusive Learning Team, as Personal Skills Assistants. Some roles are based in our Employability and Life Skills Team and others in the Main Stream of the College. The appointed candidates will support our learners in developing their literacy and numeracy skills and help them achieve their course aims. The successful applicant will also be required to undertake the learners personal care duties as their need dictates.
You will be joining our outstanding department and will be working closely with our learners and tutors. You must be committed to the learner development as well as your own and be educated to at least a level 2 (GCSE or O level) in Literacy and Numeracy and be willing to undertake any further training as directed.
You will be approachable, self-motivated and have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of young and vulnerable people. You will have a positive and flexible attitude to work, have the ability to take the initiative as required and independently solve problems. You must be a supportive and co-operative team player.
