About the Organisation:

Hart Learning & Development, part of North Hertfordshire College, delivers apprenticeships, adult and professional programmes across the region and nationally. We specialise in Health, Business, Construction Trades, Management, and Professional Courses, serving clients from national employers like John Lewis Partnership and Lloyds Banking Group to local SMEs. Our team of 50 staff generates an annual turnover of £5 million.

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop apprenticeship provision in line with the Group’s strategic plans.
  • Oversee all aspects of apprenticeship operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes that support business performance.
  • Ensure high-quality experiences for learners and employers throughout the apprenticeship journey, from recruitment to end-point assessment.
  • Oversee funding and performance management, ensuring compliance with funding rules and successful audit outcomes.
  • Foster and develop strong employer relationships, including key national levy-paying clients, leading our Account Management team.
  • Manage relationships with key external stakeholders, such as EPAOs and provider network groups.
  • Lead a team of programme managers and tutors delivering apprenticeships regionally and nationally.
  • Develop a creative, client-responsive, and commercially viable apprenticeship offer.
  • Oversee apprenticeship administration, using data to drive achievement rates and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager topipeline and inform sales strategy.
  • Lead an adult learning portfolio.
  • Lead the development of a cohesive regional skills portfolio by linking apprenticeships with other provision types, such as Skills Bootcamps and adult learning, in alignment with key strategic priorities.
