DN Colleges Group is seeking a dynamic Vocational Clinical Educator to bridge the gap between education and clinical practice. This unique role offers the opportunity to shape the future workforce by delivering high-quality education at Doncaster College and supporting clinical training across Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals (DBTH).
As a Vocational Clinical Educator, you will:
Deliver and assess clinical and vocational training across further and higher education programmes.
Support learners in both academic and clinical settings, including apprenticeships and the Care Certificate.
Collaborate with NHS and education teams to ensure a consistent, learner-centred approach to development.
Play a key role in curriculum development and quality assurance.
Essential Criteria
Registered healthcare professional.
Degree (or working towards) in a relevant subject.
Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
Significant post-registration clinical experience.
Experience in delivering education and training in healthcare settings.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging curriculum content and clinical skills training.
Teach and assess learners in classroom and clinical environments.
Support learner progress, pastoral care, and academic development.
Conduct clinical assessments and sign off competencies.
Deliver Care Certificate and statutory training across DBTH.
Liaise with NHS education leads and clinical teams to support workforce development.
Promote high standards of patient care through education.
Facilitate placements, audits, and quality assurance in clinical settings.
