Job Details

We’re famous for education with Employment Edge, industry inspired education that combines high quality learning with real world skills and we’re on the lookout for a dynamic and visionary Assistant Principal Curriculum & Skills to help us deliver this.

We believe success comes from hard work and focus and, as our Assistant Principal: Curriculum & Skills, you’ll embody this ethos and be ready to inspire our learners and apprentices to excel making sure they are well prepared for their future careers.

You’ll lead curriculum teams providing a clear vision and creating an environment where everyone feels included, valued and motivated. Working hand in hand with employers and partners, you’ll nurture your network and deliver industry driven curriculum that is current and relevant to future skills needs. A focus on data and performance alongside a passion for helping people achieve their potential, will help you drive positive outcomes and sustained performance improvements across our courses.

With strategic leadership for a cross-college area of focus, including adult provision, you will need a sound understanding of adult and Bootcamp funding methodology, be able to manage partner relationships, work cross sector and have a proven track record of developing responsive curriculum.

You’ll be the strategic lead for our flexi-job apprenticeships portfolio, which includes our award winning PlanBEE programme. This involves managing a national portfolio and will require some travel. You will chair employer boards and be on hand to support our employer sponsors and apprentices – your skills in developing and strengthening professional relationships and acting as an ambassador for the college will be essential.

If you love the sound of this and are a talented leader who is passionate about education, visionary in your approach to curriculum design, and have a proven track record in senior management within the further education sector it would be great to hear from you.
