Main Grade Lecturer – Science (Southgate)

35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (1 FTE)
17.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (0.5 FTE)
Primary Location: Southgate, but may be required to travel to any one of our main campuses.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, motivated and highly experienced teachers who are passionate about teaching and learning in the Science Learning Department. Our students are diverse in their experiences, learning, backgrounds and needs and so require an understanding, adaptive teacher to support them through their educational journeys. Successful candidates will join our inspirational, compassionate and supportive team at our Southgate Campus.
Subject specialisms required include biology, chemistry and physics from L1 to L3, including BTEC, GCSE and T levels. Experience of working with young people with EHCPs, mental health issues or NEET backgrounds useful.
For all positions, successful candidates will be expected to teach on a range of programmes across different levels. Excellent administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are essential for all roles. You will hold a hold a relevant degree qualification (or equivalent) and must possess a recognised Level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or display a willingness to work towards achieving this.
