Salary/Benefits: Salary from £31,930 per annum (Pro-Rata) DOE and Qualifications, Teacher’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week

About the role:
We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Computing to join our Computing department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Teaching & Student Success – Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching across a range of programmes and levels, supporting students to achieve their full potential through engaging lessons, tutorials, and tailored learning experiences.
- Curriculum & Quality Development – Contribute to curriculum innovation, develop new courses aligned with funding priorities, and ensure schemes of work and assessments meet awarding body standards and quality assurance requirements.
- Assessment & Progress Monitoring – Assess and verify student work, maintain accurate records, monitor progress, and implement timely interventions to support achievement and progression.
- Collaboration & Engagement – Work closely with colleagues, employers, and external bodies; participate in open days, marketing events, and course team meetings; and support wider college initiatives and events.
- Compliance & Professional Standards – Uphold TBCG values and policies, including safeguarding, equality, health and safety, and continuous professional development, ensuring the student experience remains central to all activities.
About you:
- Qualifications & Experience – Holds a degree or equivalent industry experience in a relevant subject, with GCSEs in English and Maths. Demonstrates a strong track record in teaching across levels and using quality assurance systems in Further Education.
- Skills & Professionalism – Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality while working independently or in a team.
- Technology & Innovation – Confident in using IT systems and data to enhance teaching and learning, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and developing creative solutions.
- Values & Leadership – Demonstrates leadership, attention to detail, and alignment with The Bedford College Group’s values, including safeguarding, equality, and health and safety responsibilities.
- Flexibility & Relationship Building – Able to adapt to changing business needs, travel between campuses, and build professional relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries with students and young people.

Tresham College has three main sites in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough, each with impressive modern buildings. Across our sites we offer a range of subjects including art & design, construction, engineering, motor vehicle, hairdressing and beauty therapy and more in support of our local communities.
