Job Details

The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for overseeing quality assurance across a range of skills and business development programmes in Berkshire, including the Skills Bootcamp programme. The role ensures that providers deliver high-quality training, learner support, and employer engagement across these initiatives. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, share best practices, and support a diverse portfolio of providers to enhance the long-term effectiveness of the programmes. This role will oversee a portfolio of providers, who are supporting in excess of 1,000 learners, and ensuring compliance with national standards whilst delivering positive outcomes for both learners and businesses. The role  is key to maintaining high standards across a variety of skills initiatives and fostering strong partnerships to meet local and national skills needs.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

Operational Delivery

  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of delivery across a range of skills and business development programmes to ensure providers meet required standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews, audits, and assessments of training providers, reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) across multiple initiatives.
  • Ensure all programmes, including Skills Bootcamps, meet relevant accreditation standards (e.g., IfATE technical occupation standards or their replacement, RARPA, SFIA where appropriate).
  • Ensure compliance with funding body requirements and national quality frameworks for all skills and business development programmes as appropriate.
  • To act as a deputy to the Skills Bootcamp Manager, supporting leadership responsibilities, decision making and ensuring the effective delivery of the programme.

Provider Oversight and Support

  • Develop and implement a framework for provider performance management.
  • Identify underperformance and support providers with tailored improvement plans.
  • Facilitate training and development opportunities to enhance provider capability.
  •  Continuous improvement and best practice sharing
  • Identify and share best practices across providers to improve the delivery of all skills and business development programmes.
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and collaboration among training providers across various initiatives.
  • Regularly update internal policies, procedures, and frameworks in line with emerging trends, feedback, and the evolving skills landscape.

Learner experience and support

  • Ensure that learners receive high-quality wraparound support, including career guidance, mentoring, and interview support.
  • Gather feedback from learners to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
  • Promote inclusivity and accessibility to maximise learner success.
  • Relationship building and Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with training providers, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all stakeholders to support the success of the programme.

Data Analysis

  • Analyse and interpret provider performance data and learner outcomes to improve programme effectiveness.
