Hours: 22 hours per week
Salary: Up to £41,313 pro rata per annum* (subject to experience and qualifications). Plus generous benefits. These include:
• 57 days annual leave per year pro rata (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)

• Financial support towards teacher training course fees if you do not have a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE)
*Staff with Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) via the Society for Education and Training (SET) are eligible to receive an enhanced salary of £42,738 – ask us for further details
About the role
One of the roles will lead on A level Music, with some additional hours in Level 3 Vocational Music.
The other role will work across Vocational Music, teaching on Level 2 and Level 3, with some leadership responsibilities on Year 1 Level 3 Music.
Depending on working pattern, there may be some teaching in Music Technology A Level for the successful candidates too.
The UAL music vocational course involves elements of music composition, performance, research projects, music industry, song writing, and music technology. The A level Music course contains composition, performance and listening and analysis of various genres of music and different composers. The A level Music Technology course includes working in the music recording studio, using Cubase to compose music in various popular music genres, and detailed knowledge of the development and history of music technology in popular music.
About the Person
You will be knowledgeable in both Music Theory and Performance and be able to teach across different music courses and modules. You will have experience of using systems to track and improve student achievement and skills to be proactive in leading courses and marketing them, including recruitment, audition, advice and guidance.
