Reporting to:   Teaching and Learning Lead (Deputy Head)
Start date: September 2025

At Ark Franklin, we believe in the power and value of sports and aim to provide the highest possible quality of PE provision, through our curriculum provision, our enrichment offer and participation in competitive sports.

You will be instrumental in our mission to provide every student, regardless of their background, a great education and real choices in life. As a knowledgeable and passionate PE Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons that drive achievement in PE and inspire a love of sports and exercise that extends beyond the classroom.

The role is for a class teacher who is allocated to deliver PE to children full-time. The role will be reviewed each year to determine whether the job description remains focused on PE or if a return to class teaching is required.
 
Our ideal candidate will:
  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning, thereby enabling pupils to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Assess pupil progress in PE
  • Take a lead role in the school’s participation in competitive sports events
  • Lead after-school coaching provision
